It was with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Marie Downey announced her passing on Sunday, November 16th, 2008 at the Health Science Centre at the age of 66 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Gerald and children: Mary (Dave) Tucker, Labrador, Sheila, Pasadena, Jerome (Minnie), Vancouver, Glen (Heather), Lochleven, grandchildren: Jessie, Shelby and Mitchelle who will always love and remember their nan; mother, Melinda Quilty, sisters: Louise, Marion, and brother Ron, as well as other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father Benedict Quilty. Funeral Services took place on Thursday, November 20th, 2008 at the St. Columcille Parish in St. Fintan’s with Father McGrath officiating. Interment followed at the St. Columcille Cemetery in the Highlands. We the family wish to express our sincerest thanks and heartfelt gratitude to relatives and friends who provided loving support and comfort during this difficult time. We are sincerely grateful for all the expressions of sympathy, beautiful flowers, Mass cards, phone calls, personal visits, monetary donations and many gifts of food.
