Passed peacefully away the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo, NL on Thursday, June 12th, 2008, Gertie Parsons, at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband, William; children: Lillian, Stanley, Cyril and Eileen; grandchildren: Maxine, Christopher, Stanley Jr. and Barry; brothers: Don and Bill Anderson; daughter-in-law, Phoebe Parsons and son-in-law, Wilfred Rose. She leaves to mourn, her children: Joan, Arthur (Laura), Don (Marilyn), Bill (Anne), Marjorie (Hayward), and Rodney (Jen); son-in-law, Jim Winsor and a very special friend, Edward Carter; 33 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held at St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church in Burgeo on Sunday, June 15th at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Vallis officiating. Interment followed at the community cemetery.
