It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gilbert (Bert) Baldwin announces his passing on April 8, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 88. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughters; Cora (Ross) Gregory of McIvers, Dawn Baldwin of Kitchener Ontario and Joyce Roberts of Cox’s Cove; his son Greg of Cox’s Cove. Grandchildren; Lisa, Maisie (Paul), Tanya, and Bill. Great-grandchildren; Quinton, Kennedy, Madison and Payton. His Great friend Trudy Best. He is predeceased by his wife Hazel in 2004, sons Albert and Bernard, daughter Goldie, his brothers Hayward, Stewart and Buck Welshman. Also predeceased by his great friend Bob Peddle. Visitation will take place on Sunday April 12, 2009 and Monday April 13, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Cox’s Cove. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from the St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Cox’s Cove with Rev. Joan Cole officiating. Interment will take place at the St. Nicholas Anglican Cemetery in Cox’s Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers and or donations to a charity of one’s choice. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road.
