It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gregory Joseph Walsh announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, on Wednesday April 15th 2009 at the age of 81 years. He will be sadly missed by his special friend Mrs. Louise Davis, who took care of him for over 20 years. His extended family Jerome (Beulah) Barker of Grand Falls- Windsor, NL, John (Donna) Davis of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Andre (Shirley) Davis of Edmonton, Alberta, Gerald (Pam) Davis of Osoyoos, BC, & their 9 children and 5 grandchildren, also a close family friend, Mr. Michael Carey. Gregory was predeceased by his father, mother, brother and his sister Nellie Young; also left to mourn Elaine Barker, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, on Friday April 17th 2009, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, April 18th 2009, at 10 am from the Roman Catholic Church in Deer Lake with Father Aidan Devine officiating, with cremation to follow, a burial service will be held at a later date.
