CHERNIN, Harold (1925-2008). Suddenly at home on Friday, August 15, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Sylvia Karrel Chernin. Adored father and father-in-law of Linda Chernin and David Rosenblatt, and Gail Chernin and Sol Maker. Cherished Papa of Jacalyn Rosenblatt and Benjamin Raby, Dana Rosenblatt and Daniel Flanders, Mara Green and fiancé Michael Cohen, and Alexis Green. Devoted Papa Harold of Sydney and Ariella Raby, and Abigail Flanders. Dear brother of Doris. Pre-deceased by his sisters Fran, Irma, Ronnie, Stella, and his brother, Sol. He will be fondly remembered by his in-laws, many nieces and nephews, all members of his extended family, as well as his friends and business associates from the Food Centre in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Grumpy’s in Glace Bay. His funeral service was held in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on Monday 17, 2008.
