It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hugh Bourgeois announce his passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the age of 75 years. He will be sadly missed by his three sons: Hugh Bourgeois (Rochelle) of Stephenville, Phillip Bourgeois (Larry) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Gus (Shawna) Bourgeois of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, three daughters: Ivy Whiteway of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Orena (Rob) Lidstone of Stephenville, Catherine (Dale) Bassett of Gaetzbrook, Nova Scotia, one brother, Howard (Nancy) Bourgeois of Lourdes, three sisters: Yvonne Rose of Stephenville, Bella Penny of Robinsons, Margaret Annis of Stephenville, nine grandchildren: Shelia, Ashley, Danielle, Katrina, Brianna, Jeremy, Meagan, Tonya, Hughie, two great-grandchildren; Robbie-Rae, Kara and a very special friend, Marilyn Young of Stephenville along with a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Shelia Bourgeois in September, 2007 and his parents, Martin and Annie Bourgeois, two brothers, Cecil Bourgeois and Edward Bourgeois. Cremation has taken place and friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, November 24th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
