(December 24, 1925 - September 23, 2008). Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on September 23, 2008, after a short illness, Chester James Cooper, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his parents Willis and Amelia; sister Rebecca, his first wife Maud Adams, brothers Victor, Allan, Max (sister-in-law Sara) and Dan (sister-in-law Shirley). Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 15 years Phyllis (Woodford); sons Glenn (Betty and their son Adam) and Paul; step-daughter Debbie (Cecil) Benoit; step-son Tim Woodford; step-grandchildren Cameron, Chelsea and Evan; sisters Vernie (Jim) Warren, Miriam (Clarence) Gover, Mildred (Claude) Brown; sisters-in-law Mildred Cooper, Hilda (John) Bursey, Doreen Brown, Vera Barnes and Daphne Barnes; as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Church of the Ascension, Mount Pearl.
