It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Gillis announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the age of 79 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Melita, two sons: Ted (Trina) of Stephenville, Greg of Montreal, two daughters: Ellen (Gerry) of St. John’s, Judy of Nova Scotia, five brothers: Gilbert (Norma), Gus (Marian), Don, Gerald (Helen), Terry, one sister, Theresa, four grandchildren: Matthew, Cindy, Brent, Collin and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Monday and Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 29th at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville.
