It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jerry Anthony Lucas announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the age of 67 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his common-law wife: Alice Delaney; four daughters: Caroline (Harry), Ruby (John), Debbie (Ernie), Amanda (Trevor); four sons: Eric (Gertie), Alfred (Candy), Thomas (Lisa), Darren (Vivian); one sister: Theresa Colson; and 19 grandchildren; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mildred, parents Anthony and Rita Lucas, sister Margaret, and brother Robert. Visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, Stephenville on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 10 am with Father O’Quinn officiating. Interment at the R.C. Hillside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be graciously accepted or donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
