It is with great sadness that the family of John Michael Pelley announce his passing on Thursday, March 12th, 2009, at sea, in his 41st year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife, Lori (nee Chynn); his mother and stepfather, Daphne (Ernest) Dureke of Corner Brook; his brother, James Pelley (Arlene) of Deer Lake; his nephew, Michael Pelley of Deer Lake; his mother and father-in-law, Regina and George Chynn of Deer Lake; his two cats: Manny and Belley; his uncles and aunts: Albert (Cynthia) Lodge of Deer Lake, Gerald (Ruby) Lodge of Howley, Wayne (Phyllis) Lodge of Deer Lake, Jackie Young (Robert) of Deer Lake, Carter (Lois) Pelley of St. John’s and Susan (Kent) Watts of Victoria, BC; his special family members: Mrs. Agnes Janes, Caroline Allan, Lorraine Janes, Tammy (Gavin) and Regan (godchild) Cunningham, Jillian, Trevor, Isabelle, Juliette Lush and Jim Janes. John was predeceased by his father, Johnson Pelley; his grandparents: Violet and Adolphus Lodge, and Patience and Elijah Pelley; and his aunt, Judy Lodge. Also leaving to mourn a large number of other relatives, special friends and his extended families. The family will be receiving family and friends from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 20th, 2009 from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 21st, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Roman Catholic Church in Deer Lake; Father Aidan Devine officiating. Cremation to follow.
