It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Louis Bennett announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, March 23, 2009 at the age of 95 years. He will be sadly missed by five sons: David (Anne) of Lourdes, Joseph (Nora) of Ontario, Gerard (Vivian) of Kippens, Gregory (Catherine) of Ontario and Jonathan (Liann) of Ontario; eight daughters: Lillian (Steve) Hinks of Lourdes, Madonna (Ron) March of Lourdes, Mary (John) Collier of Black Duck Siding, Bernadette (John) Murray of Lourdes, Geraldine (Mike) Gillis of Lourdes, Christine (Russ) Evans of Ontario, Rosemary (Bill) Chaarani of Ontario and Kathleen (Bernard) Benoit of Black Duck Brook; one brother, Kevin (Gen) Bennett of Curling and a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Grace; brothers: Aloysius, Amedie, William, Francis and Albert; and sister, Jean. Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Lourdes on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Lourdes with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in West Bay. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
