It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lawrence Rufus Guinchard announces his passing on April 21, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 74. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife of 54 years, Dorcas Guinchard; children: Wayde (Myrtle), Glenda (Kenneth), Gary (Donna), Larry (Regina), Sherry (John) and Faye; grandchildren: Keith Guinchard, Annette Follett, David Guinchard, Scott Guinchard, Ashley Guinchard, Robert Guinchard, Colitta Guinchard, Melanie Ryan, Amanda Follett, Michelle Guinchard, Heather Bennett, Mark Guinchard, Chad Guinchard, Jennifer Bennett and Ryan Guinchard; great-grandchild, Lexie Burke; sisters: Blanche Biggin (Leonard), Nora Brown, Ina Randell (John), Joyce Plowman, Nancy Reid (Grey) and Bruce Guinchard; brother, David Guinchard. He is predeceased by his parents, Rufus and Prudence Guinchard; parents-in-law Roland and Constance Way; brothers: Corneilus, Hayward and George. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at St. David’s Anglican Church, Pasadena. The funeral will take place on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. David’s Anglican Church; Rev. Edmond Laldain officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery Church Street, Pasadena. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road.
