It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Lester Green announce his passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the age of 74 years. He will be sadly missed by his children: Freeman (Marion), Clarenville, Roy (Mildred), Iqaluit, Ray (Betty), St. Lucia, Dolores (Glen) March, Edmonton, Gary (Dianne), St. John’s; sisters: Joyce, Harriett Strickland, Mary Schwartz; brothers: Don, Morris (Barbara), Henry (Carol); 13 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Sarah Jane; parents: Benjamin and Bertha; son Claude; daughter Elaine; brother Edward (Mary); and sister Eva. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, West Street, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. and St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Burgeo on Thursday beginning at 3:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Hubert Vallis officiating. Internment will follow the service in the Community Cemetery, Burgeo. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
