It is with great sadness that the family of the late Malcolm Chaisson announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the age of 82 years. He will be sadly missed by six sons: James of Mainland, Wayne (Ann) of Abraham’s Cove, Eugene of Three Rock Cove, Alban of Mainland, Felix (Jackie) of Three Rock Cove, Gary (Ronalda) of Brampton, Ontario, four daughters: Edna (Walter) LeMoine of Cape St. George, Marguerite (Kevin) Jesso of Stephenville, Loretta (Patrick) Barter of Mainland, Regina Ward of Brampton, Ontario, four brothers: Amos (Genevieve) Chaisson of Kippens, Frank (Kay) Chaisson of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Harry (Vite) Chaisson of Mainland, Charlie (Mercedes) Chaisson of Lourdes, four sisters: Gladys (Murdock) Barter of Mainland, Maggie (William) Dubie of Mainland, Genny Benoit of Stephenville Crossing, Eleanor White of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Nora Chaisson and friend, Genevieve Lainey. Friends may call at St. Anne’s Chapel in Mainland on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 7th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Chapel in Mainland with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Mainland. As expressions of sympathy, flowers would be graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
