It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marjorie Parsons (nee Benoit) announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the age of 78 years. She will be sadly missed by her dear friend, Clyde Childs of Abraham’s Cove; five sons: Joe (Jeannine) Wheeler of Montreal, Stanley Wheeler of Stephenville, Herman (Alice) Wheeler of Campbell’s Creek, Nolan Wheeler of Toronto and Bernard Parsons of Montreal; five daughters: Eileen (John) Miller of Montreal, Leona (Norman) Borden of Nova Scotia, Linda Walsh (John Carroll) of Kippens, Doreen Wheeler (Bob White) of Alberta and Debbie (Willy) Klaudusz of Toronto; one brother, Augustus Benoit of Ship Cove; four sisters: Genevieve Wheeler of Stephenville Crossing, Beatrice Kerfont of Ship Cove, Edith Campbell of Ship Cove and Alvine (Medrick) Rowe of Stephenville; 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew Parsons. Friends may call at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Picadilly on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Picadilly with cremation to follow. Interment will take place on Monday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Ship Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
