It is with great sadness that the family of the late Martha Callahan announces her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on November 26, 2008 at the age of 77 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, three sons: Robert (Carol) of Alberta, Tom (Tracey) of St. John’s, Jody of Pasadena; five daughters: Jackie Wakefield (Rob) of Ontario, Anita Sooley (Don) of Alberta, Tina Randell (Barry) of Alberta, Laurie Muench (Mark) of Alberta, Rowena Callahan (Dave) of Ontario; two special foster children Sherri and Lori-Ann; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Shirley (Bud) Nichols, Ina (Ruben) Rumbolt, Daisy (Donald) Langdon; seven brothers: Geoff Oake (Rubina), Stanley Oake (Margaret), James Oake (Sylvia), Cort Oake (Linda), Fred Oake (Olive), Bryant Oake (Lillian); sister-in-law: Mae Oake (Charles); her best friend and loving niece Jocelyn Kennedy (David); as well as many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Callahan (February 12, 2001), parents Viola and Reginald Oake, brothers: Charles (Len) Oake, Thomas Oake; brother-in-law: William (Bud) Nichols. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Saturday, November 29, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at 9:30 am at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Fred Stacey officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
