Mary C. White passed away peacefully and in great spirits on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 86 years. Mary will be sadly missed by her children: Edna Brown of London, Ontario, Joey (Frank Decost) of London, Ontario, Marlene Sampson (Pat) of Grand Falls, NL, Brian (Holly) of St. John’s, NL, Mary Sampson (Kenny) of Stephenville, Joe (Wendy) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Donny of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Loren of British Columbia, Fabian of Toronto, Ontario, Al of Stephenville, sisters, Helen Ehrnreiter (Wally) of Minnesota, Ria Wood of Stephenville, Fidelia of Halifax, Nova Scotia, brothers, Fintan O’Quinn, Stan O’Quinn (Joan) of Cold Brook, as well as 33 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Aloysius, her oldest daughter, Bernadette Hernandez, her oldest son, Floyd and her three brothers, Anselm, Bernard and Greg and three sisters, Donna O’Quinn, Zita Brock and Sister Bernadette O’Quinn. She was a great wife, mother and friend. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 12th at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with cremation to follow.
