It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Hynes announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the age of 87 years. She will be sadly missed by her son, Jack (Sharon) Hynes of Port au Port East, five daughters: Betty (Fred) White of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Anita Hynes (Meleme) of Miramichi, New Brunswick, Irene Hynes of Port au Port East, Martina (Ches) Pottle of Kamloops, British Columbia, Mary (Kyran) Hynes of Port au Port East, three brothers: Gervase (Vivian) Lee of Port au Port East, George (Diane) Lee of St. John’s, John Lee of West Bay, one sister, Clara (John) Holland of Edmonton, Alberta, 23 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Hynes on September 8, 1996, her two sons, George and Cletus Hynes and her grandson, Kory Hynes. Friends may call at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, September 13th at 10:30 a.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
