It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Mary Jenetia Messervey (nee: Legge) announce her passing at the Family Residence, St. George’s on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the age of 75 years. She is survived by her children: Gary, St. George’s, June, Montreal, Cindy (Arthur) Lasaga, St. George’s, Jocelyn (Ron) Butt, St. George’s, Randy (Lucy), Montreal; step-daughter Genita Leahy (Kevin McLaurin), Mission, BC; grandchildren: Trevor, Vallon, Sean, Ryan, DJ; sisters: Gladys Garnier, Angela Alexander, Yvonne Joudrey, Christine Legge, Linda Williams; brothers: Gerald, Kevin, Hilroy, Leo, Walter, Clifton as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond; parents Edward and Elizabeth Legge and brother Hilliard. The family will be receiving friends at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, St. George’s on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Shallop Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation.
