It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Margaret (Maggie) Wheeler announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the age of 81 years. She will be sadly missed by six sons: Norman (Heather) and Cyril (Cheryl), all of Nova Scotia, Gordon Jr. (Moya), Larry (Nancy), Maurice (Joan), all of Ship Cove, Leroy Jesso of Sheaves Cove, four daughters: Georgina (Hubert) Jesso of Ship Cove, Nora (Cecil) Jesso of Stephenville, Eunice (Eddy) Dempsey of Ship Cove, Kathleen (Morgan) Wheeler of Ship Cove, four brothers: Andrew Benoit of Ship Cove, Benny (Roberta) Benoit of Nova Scotia, Aussie (Myrtle) Benoit of Ship Cove, Bill (Linda) Abbott of Labrador City, six sisters: Agatha White (Chris) of Ship Cove, Lillian (Bert) Gale of Piccadilly, Geraldine (Ken) of Nova Scotia, Mona (Neil) Rowe of Ship Cove, Leona (Henry) Benoit of Ship Cove, Anne (Jack) Dennis of Stephenville, two sisters-in-law: Kathleen and Alice Rowe, both of Ship Cove, 27 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Wheeler Sr., son, Garland, three daughters, Jaunita, Myrtle, Maurina, her parents, Francis and Adelaide Benoit, sister, Maisie and two brothers, Kenneth and Joey. Friends may call at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Piccadilly on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 6th at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Piccadilly with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Ship Cove. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
