It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Short announces her passing on Monday, May 12, 2008 at the age of 74 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her loving husband of 52 years, Robert (Bob); daughters: Trixie Robertson (Brian) and Kim Anderson (Danny); three grandsons: Michael (Michelle), Chad and Adam; one step-grandson, Adam Anderson; one great-granddaughter, Ella Anne Mary; sisters: Gladys Clare (Gordon), Una Hulan, Valerie Cassell (Ross) and Rhoda Howe (Warren); brother, Spencer (Sylvia); stepmother, Rachel; and a large circle of relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Good Samaritan Unit at the Interfaith Home; as well as, Dr. Whitten, Karen Gale and Karen Norman. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 10 a.m. 12 noon. The funeral service will take place at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of a charity of one’s choice.
