It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melissa Marie Smith announce her passing on Sunday, August 10th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 41 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her parents: Ambrose and Patricia Smith, 1 sister Darlene Smith-Osmond (Stan), 2 precious nieces: Katelyn and Alex Osmond. As well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents Theresa and Patrick Follett and Anastasia and James Smith, uncles and aunts William Follett, Marlene Carey, Regina Pike, Patrick Follett, Ester Barry, Henry Smith and James Smith. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 13th at 10:30 AM from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
