It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred M. Corbett announce her passing on Thursday, March 20th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 86 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Veronica (Claude) Snow, Deer Lake, Phillip (Madelyn) Corbett, Deer Lake, Gerald (Marion) Corbett, Deer Lake, Carolanne Corbett (Earl Dewling), St. John’s, James (Genevieve Perrier), Deer Lake, Louis (Pauline) Corbett, Kitchener, Ont., William (Sheila) Corbett, St. John, NB, David (Ellen) Corbett, Corner Brook, Gary (Sarah) Corbett, Sydney, NS, Catherine (David) Crocker, Darthmouth, NS, Patricia Matthews, Montreal and Linda Corbett, Corner Brook; 29 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters: Phillip, Richard, Augustus, Alphonsus, Brendan, Monica, Madonna and Theresa; special friend Annie Elms, Deer Lake. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William, April 24th, 1998, grandson Louis Jr., brothers John, Joseph, Leo, Harold and Charlie, sister Mary and baby sister Monica. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Monday, March 24th at 10:30 AM from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Father Aidan Devine officiating. Interment to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
