It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pauline Rice announce her passing on Thursday, May 29th, 2008 at her family residence in her 77th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving children, Kathleen (Robert) Alexander, Terry (Kitty) both of Cormack, Celia (Nick) Wight of Charlottetown, PEI, Victor Jr. (Diane) of Cormack, Donna (Brian) Morrison of Waterloo, Ontario, Paul (Marina) Rice of Calgary, AB., Pansy (Donald) Cross of Nicholsville, Nl., Philip Rice of Cormack, Vincent (Nancy) Rice of Trenton, Ontario, and Ronald (Heather) Rice of St. John's, Nl. 20 grandchildren, Lori-Ann, Michael, Jodie (Cheri), Jason (Michelle), Stephen, Karen, Mark, Victor, Adam, Shannon, Paul Jr., Kristin, Julie (Winston), Jillian, David, Rebecca, Matthew, Cody, Victoria and Kyle. 16 great-grandchildren, Karlie, Andrew, Terri, Chloe, Cameron, Brett, Cara, Cody, Courtney, Kristian, Kassidy, Brady, Haley, Kobe, Kenny and Bradley. One sister Minnie Osmond. 4 brothers, Robert (Ada) Hewitt, Herbert (Viola) Hewitt, Warwick (Irene) Hewitt, David (Isabel) Hewitt, brother-in-law Clayton (Margaret) Rice, sister-in-law Hilda (Bill) Legrow. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Victor, parents Cicely & Joseph Hewitt, parents-in-law Obediah & Edith Rice, brothers Alexander and Harry Hewitt, sisters-in-law Alice Hewitt, Violet Foster, Marjorie Dyer, Mable Ivany, and Maud Hewitt. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home, 63 Northmain Street Deer Lake today, Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place from the Anglican Church in Cormack on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. with Canon Pearce officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot.
