The passing of Fannie Patricia (Stuart) Conley, wife of the late Rev. Medford Conley, of Burtts Corner, NB, occurred on April 5, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 30, 1916 in Deer Island, NB, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Marcella (Hatt) Stuart. Mrs. Conley and her husband Rev. Medford Conley enjoyed serving at Bayview Christian Camp for 20 years. Mrs. Conley was a member of the Burtts Corner Church of Christ Sewing Circle, she was a past Sunday School teacher and was the organist for 27 years. She was an avid knitter and also enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by her daughters, Lillian Staples (Allison) of Burtts Corner, NB, Ida Pugh of Charlottetown, PE and Audrey Pugh (Cedric) of Burtts Corner, NB; son, Medford E. Conley "Sonny" (Elaine) of Greenland, New Hampshire, USA; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Sophy Conley of Hampton, NB and Mabel Conley of St. Stephen, NB; brother-in-law, George Bostwick of Deer Island, NB; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Cindy Morehouse of Zealand, NB. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Claude Stuart and his wife, Connie; son-in-law, Joe Pugh.
Visitation will take place from Burtts Corner Church of Christ on Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Burtts Corner Church of Christ on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 2 pm with Pastor Graham Crandall officiating, Pastor Dan Foreman, Geoffrey Conley, Rev. Mark Williams and Pastor Gordon Weatherby assisting. Pallbearers for the service will be grandsons, Tracy, Kelvin and Stanley Pugh, Geoffrey Staples; great grandsons, Nathan Staples and Bradley Pugh; Honourary Pallbearers, grandson, Rodney Staples, great grandson, Jordan Staples; Bobby and Ralph Jones, Bob Kierstead, Garry Gilbert, Brian Haines, John Brewer, Donnie Flowers, Clarence White, Peter Yerxa and Tom Egers. Interment will take place at the Burtts Corner Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Burtts Corner Church of Christ, Burtts Corner Community Cemetery, New Brunswick Lung Association or the Heart and Stoke Foundation would be appreciated.
