It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond Alex Woolridge announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 79 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Ramona Woolridge of 57 years; his sons: Donald (Judy) Woolridge and Brian (Penny) Woolridge, sisters: Sadie Normore of Scarborough, Vi Lucas of Scarborough and Marilyn (Bob) MacGillvrey of Halifax; brothers: Calvin, Vernon (Bertha) and Keith (Beverly) of Ontario; brothers-in-law: Phonse Penny (Mima) of Corner Brook and Richard Rideout of Deer Lake; grandchildren: Andy, Matthew, Megan, Benjamin and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son, David, June 2, 1987; his parents, Alex and Bessie Woolridge; brothers: Donald, Albert, Maxwell and Wallace; sisters: Myrtle Yates and Shirley Rideout. The family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook on Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will take place on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street with Rev. Dr. Cole officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. In lieu of lowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Fund.
