It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rebecca Catherine Pennell announce her passing on Wednesday January 2nd, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 77. She will be sadly missed by her children: one son Ellis Park (Pauline), Smithville, ON, three daughters: Ruth Sheppard (Myles), Barbara Youden (Freddy), Lark Harbour, Sharon Pennell, Kelowna, BC; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; one brother John Park (Ruby) of Summerford, NL; special brother and sister-in-law Ralph & Dossie Pennell; as well as three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Special caregivers Beverly Connolly and Judy Lidstone. She was predeceased by her husband Roland Pennell 1989, grandson Brad Park 2006, parents, three sisters and three brothers. The family will be receiving friends at St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. followed by the funeral service Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating, with the interment at the Church Cemetery.
