It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rhoda Whiteway announce her passing on Tuesday, October 7th 2008, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Corner Brook in her 97th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sisters: Minnie Genge (Anchor Point), Virtue Mouland (Sidney NS), Cassandra Penny (St. Anthony), Ameila Nichols (Deer Lake), Annie Field (St John’s), brother Wesley (Deer Lake), several very special nieces and nephews, special friends Johnny Pennell and family as well a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil Whiteway in 1961. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive Deer Lake, today from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday October 10th, 2008 from St Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church at 2PM with Rev. Canon John Meade officiating, interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery High Street where she will be resting with her beloved Cec.
