Passed peacefully on Thursday, April 10th, 2008 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, NL, Rita Mary Butt at the age of 86. She will be sadly missed by her three children: Margaret Clarke (John), John Butt (Roxanne), Rick Butt; two grandchildren: Andrew Clarke, Heather Clarke, one great grandchild Andrea Clarke; very special lifetime friends Madeleine Parsons, Dave & Nina Curtis as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Butt, October 2000. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 14th at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church, Curling Street Father Don Leonard officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street Saturday from 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
