It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Anthony, announce his passing after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Hospital, at the age of 75 years. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife, Marie of 45 years; special son: Eddy and “Poppy’s Little Fellar” Anthony; special sister Evelyn Topping (Jim); brothers: Norman (Rose Marie), and Brian, all from Ontario; special sister-in-laws: Betty Loughlin, Geraldine Wall (Fred), and Edwina Frampton (Glenn); as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: George and Phoebe Anthony, brothers: Tommy, Melvin, and Robert, and sister: Ella. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, October 2, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at First United Church, Park Street, on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating with interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
