It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald James Benoit announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the age of 87 years. He will be sadly missed by his three sons: George (Melita), Roger (Michelle) and Robert (Lorraine), all of Stephenville Crossing; six daughters: Betty Batt of Nova Scotia, Mary (Darrell) Frank of Ontario, Eula Shipley of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Joan (Mylon) Lutz of Nova Scotia, Lillian Clark of Stephenville and Lorraine Bennett of Stephenville Crossing; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife, Annie Maud Benoit and his second wife, Elizabeth Young. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Stephenville Crossing on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 2nd at 10:00 a.m. from Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
