It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rufus Wilby Blanchard announce his passing, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, July 16th, 2008 in his 68th year, at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: Wife, Shelia (nee Payne); his children: Darris Blanchard, Dale Payne and Warren Blanchard, all of Parsons Pond; his grandchildren: Cordell Payne, Jessie Payne and Amy Payne, all of Parsons Pond; his brothers and sisters: Isaac (Serina) Blanchard, Bryant Blanchard and partner (Marg), Masie Sampson, Wilfred (Francis) Blanchard, Alvin (Jaunita) Blanchard and Ward (Geneva) Blanchard, all of Parsons Pond, Lillian (David) Caines of Portland Creek, Valarie (Gordon) Brake of York Harbour, Meta (Gary) Hiscock of Bonne Bay Pond, Rhodena (David) Cochrane of Mt. Moriah and Eva Collett of Brampton, Ontario; also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Rufus was predeceased by his parents: Johnny and Minnie Blanchard; his daughter, Helen Blanchard and his sister-in-law, Berta Blanchard. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Anglican Church in Parsons Pond, today, Friday, July 18th, 2008 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., from where also the funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 19th, 2008 at 3:30 p.m.; Rev.
