DAVIS, LYNDA L. - 62, of Lower Five Islands, Colchester County passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Mosher River, she was a daughter of the late Ernie and Gladys (Jones) Bezanson. Lynda was very active in her community, particularly through her work as President of the Five Islands Bazaar Committee. She was well known throughout the area for her baking and crafts. Besides operating 'Special Touch' from her home, she operated Davis Video in Parrsboro for more than 10 years. The time she enjoyed most was spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Basil (Jr.); a daughter, Shauna Allen (Gordon), Greenfield; a son Terry (Mary Lou), Bible Hill; a sister, Edna Miller (John), Dartmouth; foster brothers, Elmer MacDonald, Mosher River and Perry MacDonald (Linda), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Jessica Allen; Julia, Brady and Noah Davis. She was predeceased by an infant brother, Terrance Maxwell; foster brother, Frank MacDonald; a grandson, Tyler. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday [April 16, 2010] at the Peniel United Church, Five Islands, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday [April 17, 2010], Rev. Florence Antle-Brison officiating. Reception with follow in the church vestry. Memorial donations may be made to the Tyler Allen Memorial Fund.
