Passed away suddenly on Friday, June 20th, 2008, Shirley Stirling, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 68 years. Predeceased by her father, Samuel; mother, Anna May; stepfather, Malcolm Walsh, brother-in-law, Vince and sister-in-law, Margaret. Leaving to mourn: one brother, Leonard (Bernie); six sisters: Olive (Ben), Brenda, Olga (Mike), Maxine, Debbie and Margie; many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and special friend, Bill; also Evelyn and friends at Deer Lake Manor. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Saturday, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd, at 2:30 p.m. from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Stephenville; Reverend Gwendolyn Butler and Reverend Coombs officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request; donations may be made to St. Augustine’s Parish Fund, Stephenville.
