It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Harvey McPhee age 70 of Glace Bay. Frank passed away at his residence on Friday, April 16, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Glace Bay Frank was a son of the late Joseph and Emma (MacDonald) McPhee. He was employed with Eaton's in Ontario retiring after 35 years of service. Frank returned to the Glace Bay area 12 years ago to enjoy his retirement. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Frank will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Karen 'Che Che' (Popwell); daughters, Kelly (Gary) Campbell, Debby (Vince) Marino, Tammy (Kerri) Black; cherished grandchildren, Stacey, Shelby, Olivia, Jœy, Sophia, Gracey; aunts, Jess and Sr. Wilma; mother-in-law, Vivian Popwell; brothers & sisters-in-law; numerous nieces; nephews; aunts.
Visitation for Frank will be held 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at St. Anthony's Church with Fr. Conrad Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
Donations in Frank's memory may be made to Palliative Care or the Lung Association.
