It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shirley Joan Squires announce her passing on Monday, February 9th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 52 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Clarence, father Gerald (Jena) Locke, Nova Scotia, sisters and brothers: Wanda (Howard) Power, Ontario, Jerry (Myra), St. John’s, Fabian (Maureen), Ontario, Sheldon (Debbie), Ontario, Edwina Locke, Corner Brook and Jarvis, Ontario; sisters-in-law: Bonnie and Christina (John) Maddigan both of Corner Brook. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Irene Joan Locke. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 13th at 2:00 PM from All Saints’ Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
