It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stella Bennett announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center on Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at the age of 94 years. She will be sadly missed by her four daughters: Genevieve Boland, Marie Williams and Geraldine Bennett, all of Stephenville and Claudia Mason of Texas. Also leaving to mourn are her 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael C. Bennett; one son, Lloyd Bennett; one daughter, Irene Martinez; one brother, Lloyd Gallant and one sister, Mary Bennett. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive in Stephenville. Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stephen’s Parish on West Street. Interment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway.
