1942 - 2010 - Alvin E. Mellish, 68, of Moncton, passed away at Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, April 15, 2010. Born in Dawson Settlement, he was the son of the late George and Jeanette (Patriquin) Mellish. Formerly of Toronto he worked as an orderly and while living in Moncton he worked at carpentry. He is survived by his sister Victoria Chase of Truro, NS; brothers Robert Mellish (Janice) of Halifax, Herman Mellish (Arlœne) of California, Charles Mellish (Vicki) of Orangeville, ON; and James Mellish (Ann Steeves) of Weldon, NB as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother George Mellish and a sister Helen Durette.
There is no viewing at Alvin's request. A private family service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Blaine Steeves officiating. Interment will be in Grey's Island Cemetery in Hillsborough, NB. Donations made to Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
