It is with great sadness that the family of the late Tomasito (Tom) Ruiz announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the age of 72 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Maisie; four sons: Maurice (Carla) Ruiz of Stephenville, Philip (Tanya) Ruiz of Pictou, Nova Scotia, Donald (Kate) Ruiz of Toronto and Thomas (Cherie) Ruiz of Torbay; one daughter, Marlynn (James) Kempema of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren: Matthew, Mitchell, Paytan, Emma, Jordan, Landon and Ty, Maya, Iliana and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Maranio and Felipia Ruiz. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 26th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
