The death of Mary Margerite Albert occurred on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at her residence, the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born 1920 in Woodvale, Digby County, she was the daughter of the late Teselin and Francis (Melanson) Gaudet and the late Emelie (LeBlanc) Gaudet. Mary worked for 33 years at Wolworth's for the bakery department. She went faithfully to her church St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She loved to dance and her hobbies included making purse bags and oven mitts in which she sold many. She is survived by her daughters Diane (Bruce) Savoie of Saint John and Mary Catherine of Miramichi; one sister Blanche (Emile) Saulnier of Digby County; two grandsons Derrick O'Neill and Shawn Burnett and one great-grandson Kendall Williams. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two sisters, three brothers and one grandson Kendall Teselin O'Neill.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 2 pm.
