1930 - 2010 - Edgar « Robert » Cormier, 79, of Sainte-Marie de Kent has passed away at the Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent on July 30th, 1930, he was the son of the late Robert Cormier and the late Emma Belliveau. He was a farmer, owned a general store and a school bus driver for many years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Norma (LeBlanc), his four children, Gisèle (Ernest), Joe (Simonne), Guy (Francine) all of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Gilles (Denise) of Dieppe. Also to mourn him, his six grandchildren, Mireille, Jolène, Jessica, Venessa, Chelsey and Sébastien, two great grandchildren, Véronique and Monica, two sisters, Dorine of Waltham, Lucille of Comox, BC, one brother Henri of Key West, FL and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one son Léo-Paul, two sisters, Ida and Yvonne, and several brothers at an early age.
Visitation will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Sunday, April 25th 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie de Kent Church on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
