Marshall Landry
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marshall Paul Landry on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, N.S.
Born in Amherst on August 14, 1951, Marshall was the son of Theresa Emerice (Bourgeois) and the late Paul Walter Landry.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his youngest sister Mary Ellen.
Marshall is survived by his long-time partner Nancy Sanford, son Leon Wayne of Halifax, daughter Emma Helene of Springhill, brother Wayne (Pat) of Brookdale, sisters Susan (Mike) Hennigar of Middle Sackville, NS, Lana (Philip) White of Lower Sackville, NS and Terry (Larry) Cove of Amherst as well as many nieces, nephews and Nancy's family.
We all appreciated Marshall's support, sound advice, and unique humour. Marshall had a passion for music, was an avid photographer, and felt a strong connection to this local Acadian heritage. Marshall had an unfaltering sense of social commitment. He was involved in the co-op movement and he never stopped believing that a more just world is possible.
Friends are welcome to join with family in remembering Marshall at Campbell's Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010.
If so desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
