Marie McIntyre, a lifelong resident of Amherst, NS passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 in the V.G. Hospital, Halifax.
Born April 22, 1925 in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Gertrude (Cormier) Thibodeau.
Marie is survived by her son Benjamin, sister Benita Cormier (Tony), grandson Ian McIntyre (Gwen) and great grand children Trinity and Jenna.
She was predeceased by her husband Pipe-Major Duncan McIntyre of The North Nova Scotia Highlanders, her daughter Donna and her son Bruce.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst from 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers held at 8 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father David MacDonald officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery, Amherst.
