Myrtle Player, long time resident of Moose Jaw, passed away April 21, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Myrtle was born in Hazenmore, SK, on February 2, 1920. She loved to play bridge, and do puzzles. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Hattie Bookout, husband Harry, brothers Louis, Don, and Pete Bookout, and sisters Mabel Sauer and Mary Bernard. She is survived by her son, Fred (Shirley) - Denver, CO; daughter, Judy (Keith) Gerlack - Calgary, AB; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Helen Konopaki; sisters-in-law Marie Bookout, Betty Chalmers, Lil Bookout and Marg Cowan; brother-in-law Wilf Bernard and many nieces and nephews. The Celebration of Myrtle's life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Monday April 26, 2010 at 1:30 pm. Reverend David Moore will officiate. Cremation will follow, with memorialization to take place at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer Association, #301 - 2550 12th Ave., Regina, SK, S4P 3X1, or to the Extendicare Family Support Group, 1151 Coteau St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 5G5, would be appreciated.
