Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre, Joan Murphy, age 63 years of Avondale. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Josephine Whelan, her sister Monica. Left with fond memories are her husband Bill, her daughter Karen (Luke) Hayes and son Damion; sisters Eileen Woodford, Dorothy Wade (Bill), Mercedes Phelps (Don), Patricia Wheeler (Boyd); her brother Jerome; and a circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2010 with 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Assumption Church, Avondale.
