TINGLEY, CATHERINE (1919 - 2010) -Catherine Tingley passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, April 22, 2010, with her family by her side. Born on Gowland Mountain August 23, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Mercy (Bannister) Nowlan. She loved going for Country drives and enjoyed picking fiddleheads in the spring. She is survived by her son Alden Geldart (Robin Luckhurst) of Elgin, her sister Josephine Hall, and her brother Murle Nowlan (Pauline), step-children Edmund Geldart, Nancy Geldart, Louise Butland (Russell), Sara Boyce (Chet), Morris Tingley (April), sister-in-law Thelma Nowlan, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sons, Peter Geldart, Edward Geldart, and brothers Russell Nowlan, Morris Nowlan, and sisters Mildred Mills, Irene Ayles, Shirley Nowlan.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday afternoon April 25th, from 2 to 4 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26th, 2010 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. A reception for friends and family will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room. The family would like to thank the staff at Lefurgey Residence for their special care during Catherine's stay. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in memory of Catherine may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
