It is with great sadness that the family of the late Whitney Drover announce her passing at the IWK on Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at the age of 17 years. She will be sadly missed by her mother Doreen (Robert) in Nova Scotia, her father Bill Drover in Baie Verte, her brother Andrew in Baie Verte, her sister Rebecca in Nova Scotia, her step brother Devan in Nova Scotia, her step sister Atasha in Nova Scotia. Also leaving to mourn her Mama Marie Major in Black Duck Brook and her poppy Norman Young in Nova Scotia, Pop and Nan Michael and Madeline Drover in Baie Verte and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her great grandparents, Walter and Emily Young and her uncle Pat Furey. Visitation took place on Sunday from Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Lourdes from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, March 2nd at 10 a.m. with interment in the Roman Catholic cemetery in Winter Houses. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville.
