Walter M. McNair, 85, of McNair Manor, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, April 22, 2010. Born in Apohoqui, he was the son of the late William and Clara (Long) McNair. Walter was retired from Atlantic Wholesalers Ltd as a Supervisor with over 25 years service and was a member of Parkside Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and served on various other boards and committees within his church. He enjoyed reading and socializing with his friends, but first and foremost he enjoyed spending precious time with his family. Walter will be sadly missed by his wife of over 64 years, Marjorie (Dunfield); daughters, Sharon MacDonald (Payson), Moncton, Judy Steeves (Dale), Rothesay, Marlene Galbraith (Allan), Peterborough, ON, Cathy George (Jeffery), Kingston, NS; ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Beechin (Ray), Norton, NB, Luella Kilfillen (Russell), Fox Hill, NB; brother, Harvey (Mary), Sussex, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by twin daughters.

Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, April 26, 2010, 1:30 pm, Rev. Bob Dunlop and Pastor Ken Fillmore officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
