It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred (Fred) Simmonds announces his passing at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the age of 71 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife, Jeanette (Wells); son, Steve (Corrina); grandchildren: Kimberly (Troy Kendall) and Tim (Natacha Haran); great-grandchild, Nicole; brothers: Jack and Llewellyn (Mercedes); and a number of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Frances Simmonds; sisters: Florence and Jean; brothers: Winston and Bill; mother-in-law, Violet Wells; and sister-in-law, Joan Hull. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Major Frank Johnson officiating.
