Peacefully at Western Hospital, Alberton, on Friday, April 23, 2010, of Ralph Keir Getson of Unionvale in his 85th year, beloved husband of Beverly (nee MacKinnon). Born June 21, 1925, son of the late James and Ethel (Rayner) Getson. Loving father of Dawna Lynn (Charlie) MacNeill , Wayne (Claudette), Nova Jean (Dale) Harris, Ralph Jr. (Jacinta) and daughter in law Norma Getson. Cherished grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law of Annie Getson, Betty McCormick, Rankin (Betty Ann) MacKinnon, George MacKinnon, Adrice (Blair) Collicutt, Muncy MacKinnon and Deborah MacPherson. Predeceased by his son, Myles, brothers, Howie and Chester. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral to be held at the Greenmount Church of Christ on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to O'Leary Community Health Foundation, Western Hospital Foundation or Greenmount Church of Christ Cemetery Fund would be appreciatted.
